Stone's Heart under Granite 

 

Location:

 

 

 

Blue, Major Outline is immediate Territory.

Black, Larger Interior is Sept and Caern

Red, Smaller Interior is The Great White Wolf's Territory

 

The current location of the sept it in the real world Buena Vista State Forest in Bemidji, Minnesota. In World of Darkness the forest is still considered a state park but has been made more of an animal sanctuary than anything else and does discourage visitors or poachers with in its limits. There are state rangers in the area but either they are paid off by member of the sept or they are kinfolk without purebreed. They mostly work to keep humans out of the woods. Luckily locals are under the belief the woods are cursed and haunted so most avoid them anyway. The forest is dense. The wild life is flourishing. There are many animals in the area.

 

The Great White Wolf's territory: 

 

The great White Wolf is in the other half of the forest. They started out as a slightly antagonistic presence because the caern in it jump to the new universe did take over half of the forest that had been home to their pack of spiritual wolves. The Great White Wolf does not enjoy people coming onto their side of the forest without introduction. The Great White Wolf is a proud figure but they have been known to help the caern when asked.

There are somethings above ground in a hidden part of the forest.

 

Warder's retreat:

As the Warders do not have the numbers to take breaks much anymore it is mostly empty but is a small cramped space with pillows and blankets on the floor for the warders to catch a nap before heading back to work.

 

Smart like Ape and First's Den:

Mason "Smart like Ape" and his lupus kinfolk sister has a small little cabin and a little den below.  It is notable that the cabin has a small dish for satellite internet, and a high concentration of game trail cameras in the area. The kin is lupus she doesn't venture far from her den most of the time but she is often seen watching.

 

The Olympian Forge and Workshop

 

This area was put together over time, with the help of a number of Garou.  It is a well crafted Forge, dedicated to the memory of Haephestus, The hellenic diety of metalworking. 

It is open for public use, though the material stock has depleted itself over time from various users.   It is not intended to fulfill the role of a shrine.

Storm's Resolve Kinfolk house

 

A five-bedroom house within the bawn. Modern and not overly fancy.

There are many tunnels and caves connected for sept members can live and stay in.

 

Challenge Circle

The circle is in a large temple room in the ground dedicated to Fenris. To activate the circle it requires a blood sacrifice (It does not require more than the pricking of a finger. Smear that blood on any of the nine columns that surround the circle.) As soon as the sacrifice is done any challenge, traits/abilities/rage refreshes.

The General shop

This area has been set up as a sort of general goods shop should people need something. Clothing:  There is a plethora of clothing of various shapes & sizes for the Sept.  Building what amounts to a treasure trove of outfits, footwear, etc.  (all mundane store-bought stuff, nothing really fancy).  These will be items for the Lupus & less fortunate to raid when they have need to go into the city or other High-Ban locations.  (Aristotle $10k on all the different clothing). Pre-Paid debit cards. There's 10 cards in the shop, if they are needed, they have $200 on each of them. 

 

Armory

 

This area has a couple stashed weapons. Swords, knives, a couple guns and magazines. Some talons might be dropped off from time to time but most are handed directly to a person.

 

The Caern Heart

A very large cave in the tunnel system where Granite's heart lies. It is almost impossible to get to this room without a key.

 

The Cold Spring

Granite made an area deep in the tunnels has made a very cold underground lake that the Garou can use when the area gets too hot.

 

Cub Cave/Cub House

 

 

The tunnel, hidden under a tree stump, has a gentle staircase leading down into the front room. The front room is a large kitchen, with dinged appliances and a long, battered kitchen table with mis-matched chairs. Many look like they have been chewed on or broken and patched several times. The table is the centerpiece of the room, and of the whole dwelling.

 

The plates, dishes, and silverware in the kitchen are also mis-matched and patched. There are two refrigerators - one labeled DAIRY and one labeled MEAT. Someone has laid down linoleum tiles over the dirt and wood paneling on the walls, whitewashed. There are a few cheery, thrifted paintings to make the illusion of windows.

 

The rest of the Cub Cave carries back behind the kitchen, as if the kitchen is the gateway to the rest of the structure. There's a large living room with battered couches, a new looking TV and game consoles, and a wide track of open spaces all around the edges of the room, as if someone (or several someones) like to zoom in circles. One corner has bookshelves (boards and bricks with books on them); the books range from in-depth discussions of jewish philosophy to several well-loved children's books. The floor is stone with some bright rugs, although all the rugs are VERY securely tacked down.

 

There's a pantry off the kitchen, three bathrooms (two with showers, one with a stone bathtub) and a hidden safe room with an alternative exit to the outside.

 

As for bedrooms, they change often - with Granite's help to re-arrange the stone. Currently there are:

  • The nursery area for the babies (Dick, Tim, Jason, Damian). It has three cribs (one much more battered than the other two) that don't see much use, a large pile of pillows that the babies all end up on, sleeping in a pile, and a low play area with chewed-up toys.
  • The shared bedroom for the pre/teens (Toad, Michael, Billy, Todd) - two bunkbeds, an old TV and a gamecube, toys, and clothes
  • A men's dorm area with bunkbeds, some couches, and a coffee table for the men (Kolya, Tripp, Sam, Sebastian, Joe)
  • A women's dorm with two single beds (one for Sky, one for Jo), as well as a little living area and a few empty bunk beds
  • One room with two single beds for Devorah's kinfolk helpers, Lee and Rosa
  • Devorah's room is right off the kitchen. She keeps the door closed and there's a pretty strong vibe of it being a private space.
  • The cubs pass around rumors about there being a secret safe room that you get to via one of the bookcases. That's silly. You get to it via the pantry.

 

 

 

But what about...

 

As electricity is important for most folks the area has off grid solar power and this powers lights, electricity and heaters for the garou.
