MN Dark Woods Event Game

Swanson Lodge is the newest cabin at Fred C. Andersen Camp. .

 

History: Every year (before covid), we invite our players and those from around the country to join us at a State Park for a weekend of nonstop role-playing. The park provides both a beautiful natural setting for the game, as well as cabins with plumbing and electricity for our comfort. The event is an unparalleled chance to fully immerse yourself in your Werewolf character for days on end.

 

**Each participant and driver should take a look at our Health Screening Checklist daily. If anyone is ill or becomes ill they should go or stay at home!**

 

Registration

  • The event costs $40.00 (plus processing fees) to attend when you register before a September July 1st.
    • Pay in person by attending a Twin Cities game night, or; 
    • Checkout with a credit card using our online store.
  • We allocate them when we receive your payment. First come, first serve.
    • The main building only sleeps 40.  If the event game were to be hugely popular there is additional buildings that could be rented, but the other buildings don't have running water. 
  • Since we do provide meals, please let us know of food allergies.   

 

Protip:

  • ALCOHOL, PRODUCTS CONTAINING THC, AND UNLAWFUL DRUGS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT CAMP 
  • Determine the location of natural and manmade hazards (e.g. bluffs) and stay away from them. Do not enter areas marked by closed fencing or caution tape.
  • Pets are not allowed in camp.
  • Please respect the private property of our neighbors and other units in camp. Be courteous to others by respecting quiet hours between 10:00pm and 7:00am. 
  • This is a Garou and Changing Breed Event game only. (normal Kinfolk with changeling add on are allowed)

 

Location and Schedule

  • Directions to Fred C. Andersen Scout Camp
  • Players may arrive starting at 5:30 PM on Friday of the event.
  • Check-in begins at 6:00 PM on Friday. No character sheets or item cards may be played without approval from the Storytellers at this time.
  • We are providing all meals this year 
  • Play continues until 9:00 AM on Sunday.
  • We clean our cabins and head out by 11am on Sunday.

 

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Helping with Kitchen Duties for food 
  • Helping with Clean up 

 

What those volunteering for cleaning/kitchen duty for the bonus Event Game Special Item need

  • Cookware, coffee pot, toaster, outdoor grill
  • Dish and hand soap, towels, dish cloths, sponges, etc.
  • Toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags (13 & 39 gallon size)
  • Toilet bowl cleaner & brushes
  • Non-abrasive cleaner
  • Wood floor cleaner  (The mops provided are the large rag type. If your wood floor cleaner recommends a different type of mop, you may bring them. Water damages wood floors.) 

 

What You Should Bring 

  • Sleeping bags or other bedding

  • Food and snacks (we provide the dinners but breakfasts and lunches are up to you)

  • Personal toiletries

  • Bug repellent
